Solomon Islands Survey
South East Asia Expedition: Survey 5
The next stop for our South East Asia expeditions is the Coral Triangle's easternmost country - the Solomon Islands. These 992 islands, of which only 142 are actually inhabited, are oriented southeast to northwest and stretch across 1,700km.
We are surveying here with our partners The Living Oceans Foundation - a US-based non-profit Foundation whose mission is to provide science based solutions to protect and restore ocean health.
On this expedition we are measuring fish diversity and abundance information in addition to the coral structure and benthic community ecological information we gather with the SVII.
