Saunders Reef Survey
Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea Expedition: Survey 25
Situated at the far north of the Great Barrier Reef chain, between the Great Detatched Reef and the protected Raine Island, lies a rarely visited reef called Saunders Reef.
Because this reef is so isolated the area is full of life - all kinds of pelagics and every colour of reef fish imaginable can be seen along with sharks, dolphins and turtles. All of this swimming over some of the healthiest reef cover anywhere of the Great Barrier Reef.
