Mexico Survey

Caribbean Expedition: Survey 5
UNESCO Marine World Heritage Site - inscribed in 1987
Mexico is famous for it's fantastic foods, it's complex history, it's rugged landscape and it's beautiful beaches. It is what lies in the waters surrounding Mexico that is of particular interest to us; with over 3000 cenotes (sea caves) and the second largest natural reef in the world (the Mesoamerican Reef), Mexico is a hugely popular destination for scuba divers and is a critical area for the survey team to record. The coral reef's of this region are so critical that one particular area - Sian Ka'an Biossphere Reserve - is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
