Technology is fundamental to the success of the Catlin Seaview Survey; the shallow reef surveying work is carried out using cameras specifically developed for the project, the deeper surveying is carried out by underwater robots and we’re even using underwater tablet devices.
The use of technology doesn’t stop with the surveying, it is also critical for the analysis of the data and the global communication of the results.
